Hi All,

We have just had a very disappointing visit with our RE and we are looking for a referral for a second opinion. If you are in New England and you feel like your RE is someone special, please share their info.

Thanks,
Angela

Angela,

I don't know where you are in MA, but I have loved Dr. Sabatini at MGHNorth Shore in Danvers. She is fantastic. She listens and is very sweet---when I had my m/c, she called me immediately when she heard to say she was sorry and see if there was anything she could do. You do all the monitoring appointments there and go to Boston for the ER/ET if you are doing IVF. There are almost no waits in the office and the office staff are Fabulous!!! I have also been to the Boston campus and while I really liked Dr. Shiffron there and Dr Petrozza, the waits are horrible and the office staff not as good. I've also heard great things about BostonIVF---they see the greatest numbers of people around here. I would avoid the center in Reading and Dr. Cardoni in Stoneham---I've heard mixed reviews about them. I do think a lot of it is what you are looking for---MGH is more conservative than many of the others---BostonIVF much less so. They all have subtle differences in how they work and their procedures and policies.

Good luck.

Since we are all on this subject, and I don't need one yet, but feel like that time may be rapidly approaching...Danvers is a bit far for me, since I live in Nashua.

Hi Angela,

Hi Cynthia,

I wanted to let you know that I took your referral and had a great experience. I have thus far only seen the physician's assistant, but even though the results were not tremendously different, they seemed to have been delivered by someone who genuinely cares.

We tried this cycle and are in the 2WW. They started me on progesterone and we are waiting to see the results of this cycle. If it's a BFN then we will go in for CD3 testing and a saline u/s next month. Even if after all that, we don't have an explaination they were still able to suggest options to help. This is in contrast to "we are happy to run a pg test for you, but there is not much else we can do".

So thanks, and you can add me to the list of people saying they are great.
