I would like for him to come but it depends on the scheduling... if he can't come I have a friend who will go with me. :)

Thanks for the input ladies, I really appreciate it"

Courtney, my HSG was not exactly like a pap. It pinched when they clamped something in place and I think that's what caused the bleeding (not sure if they missed or what). That being said, when they did the actual "shooting of the dye", it didn't hurt at all. They said that the dye hesitated before going into my tubes, but I didn't feel any of that. I did have some cramping afterward, but that was, I think, mostly just my body expelling the dye. But, even so, that cramping wasn't horrible. Just like light menstrual cramps. Definitely bring a pad (although I'm sure they will give you one if you forget...they just happen to give you those uncomfortable thick ones).

I hope that your insurance will cover the test and that it's not too painful for you. Will your DH be able to go with you? I know I went alone and it was OK. I just kind of wished I had someone whose hand I could squeeze. :)

Mine hurt like a be-otch, so when I hear other ladies say that theirs were like normal paps, my jaw hits the floor!

Thanks Chouli! I hope insurance covers it, but I honestly don't know. Thanks for the info on the HSG, I am afraid it will hurt. :( But, again, really don't care if it does- I'll do whatever it takes.

Good plan. We did both. Will your insurance cover the karyotyping? Mine did with a $35 copay, DH's didn't and it was $865.
The HSG is not as bad as I feared. Kinda like a pap. GL!!

I'm going to say that she is probably the best boss I've ever had (and that is saying a lot), and she is a very caring person.

And I still hope to all heck that she's stressed out for coverage next fall, lol!
