Ovulation/AF before D&C?

I've read that you'll generally ovulate two weeks after a MC. Since I found out today that I MC'd more than two weeks ago, and haven't gone for my D&C yet, what will that mean for getting my period NOW? Will ovulation be delayed until after the D&C? Does my body know the difference? I'm starting to cramp a bit and it's my normal time to for AF to arrive, however is that even possible with my current condition? I'm just worried as to what might happen if AF shows up before the D&C.

I would like to know as well.. I had a d&C about 10 weeks but LO died around 7 weeks.. I am 12 days post D&C and didn't bleed at all until now. So, not sure what to think. It's all so confusing!

It really differs from person to person when you ovulate after a m/c.  I didn't ovulate my first cycle after my d&c.  Even though you have a m/c the hormones are still running through your body and it may take some time for them to come down, so that may also delay ovulation and AF from coming b/c your body still "thinks" it is pregnant and could be acting like it as well.  It took 2 months after my first m/c (which was natural) and 1.5 months after my second m/c (d&c).  I have heard of people having a d&c, then their betas are down to 0 in a week.  I think those are the people who ovulate.

Honestly, I don't think you ovulated yet since you haven't had a d&c and haven't m/c naturally yet.  There are probably still hormones running through you.  Your first AF will be after you either 1) have your d&c on thursday or 2) miscarry naturally before than.  It is possible for you to ovulate between that point and your first AF, but it can take 4 - 6 weeks for AF to show up after a d&c (I know it has been longer for others as well).  Your body can do some wacky things after a m/c!  It is possible you don't ovulate for the first month or however long.  Your ovulation may be delayed.  There may be a whole new "normal" for you and your cycle after a m/c.  It can be frustrating, I'm not going to lie.  But it will all end up alright and you will figure it out.  We are here for you!  Hope I answered your questions.
