We went to our primary care Dr. today to discuss DH's SA results from the last three years. He has numbers as low as 0 and as high as 54 million. They go up, they go down...all over the place. He listened to us talk about it, told us that one problem may be sperm antibodies, and offered to call and speak to a urologist he knows to get some advice on it. We assumed he meant some other day and he'd call us back about what they discussed, but he left the room and called from his desk right then. We could hear his side of the conversation as he explained our plight.

I'm so sorry. I know ow frustrating this all is. I was tic for over 2+ years with my ex-husband who had low sperm count and poor motility and poor morphology. The urologist did not want to do much, told him to drink less alcohol and drink more coffee, that was pretty much it. I was so annoyed. We did go to the RE but then our relationship started to fall apart so we didn't get further tx. I wish I knew more what would have happened so I could give you some insight. I hope you get your bfp this cycle and if not I hope you qualify for the study. I know ivf is expensive, so i hope you get your bfp before you have to pay for ivf. GL. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers!!!

Chouli,

I am the same as you. I can’t do things like “play it by ear” or “let the chips falls where they may”. They are MY chips and they are going to land where I put them! Arghhhh! I also need a plan to keep from losing my sanity. Even if it’s not a plan from the RE I always have to have one of my own. I am like that with everything. I’ll ask DH what he wants to do today and he’ll say “Eh I dunno, let’s just play it by ear.” Uhhh no. I can’t do that. We don’t have to have it narrowed down to times or anything but movies? The mall? Thumbs up our butts? WHAT?

Anyway, I think you’re plan is a good one and I hope you find some peace over the next couple months. I know that when I left the RE after about 4 straight cycles I was pretty relieved to NTNP for a while. We have been using OPK’s since May and six months off from the RE and I am ready to try again for a couple of cycles. ((hugs))
