I forgot to ask this question as well at the doctors, Im usually not to scatterbrained i swear! LOL

So yesterday was 5 days after the D&C... and I started bleeding.... and of course my first thought  was yay AF!!! so I googled it lol. apparently its "normal" for to bleed a few days afterwards?( I had a tiny bit of bleeding on the first day, and then spotting, and then bright red blood bleeding  starting last night)  Hope this doesnt last too long...

I know it is different for everyone.  I am about 2.5 weeks post d&c and I am still spotting.  Actually it's a surprise each day what it feels like doing.  It definitely sucks.  I really hope you don't have to go through what I am going through with all the spotting.

I had such a small amount of bleeding after the d&c that I actually thought my dr was a hero (I normally hate him).  I was on vacation and went back to work a week after the d&c.  I had been having the tiniest amount of spotting the whole time.  I did notice that my abdomen seemed very distended for several days and I had a lot of back pain.  On day 7 after returning to work (Nurse in a busy icu), I started passing clot after clot after clot.  I was on the verge of going to the ER I was so scared.  I found out after the fact that this isn't unusual.  They scrape your uterus and you can have the initial bleeding, but then it basically sloughs off and this happens.  It was very traumatic.  Others have reported moderate bleeding for a week or two after.  I think for everyone it varies.  After the bleeding stops, I would consider it the start of a new cycle and they usually say to wait until you get AF after that to TTC again.  Best of luck to you.
