I was, and still am, really depressed that this month was not my month for a BFP.

Ann - I don't mind the novel at all! thank you so much for that info!

****child mentioned****
I swear, your description of yourself had me thinking, "yes, yes, that's me too." I swear, I am losing. my. mind. Ever since the m/c, I am single minded and focused and obsessed with getting PG again. I have lost all patience with my 3 year old - I almost burst into tears this morning when she said, "Mommy you're yelling at me!" I have trouble focusing at work and my work is starting to suffer b/c of this. I need my sanity back and I need some peace in my life. all of this and it's only been 4 cycles since the m/c.

anyway, even though I got really mad at an acquaintence who recently told me to "relax and it will happen," I am starting to think that my constant stress about getting PG is not helping. And I am stressed about the 6 month mark coming up fast, which is when I would need to go in for testing and talk to my OB about fertility drugs. I think I DO need to relax. I need to feel less stressed. I can't quit my stressful job, but I need to find some balance in my life.

my first appt. is next Friday, so I'll definitely let you know how it goes!! thanks again for sharing your experiences.

oh, and I told DH that I feared I would have to give up caffeine, which sounds difficult. but you gave up alcohol too? wow! lol.

I love acupuncture as well. I go twice a week.

Ive been going for about 3m now. I did get pregnant my second month going, but unfortunately it ended in another m/c.

Its very relaxing if nothing else, though I do believe it does a lot more to my body. Its my chill time.

thanks to both of you!! I love hearing your experiences and that you liked it and find it relaxing. that is exactly what I'm hoping for.

I can see I might have to give up my caffeine, but I guess I gotta do what I gotta do. If the question is what's more important - coffee or a BFP, then the answer is obvious.

I am a little concerned about the expense, but I have a few things I could cut out of my budget if I need to. It looks like my insurance would cover a small part of it, but I think I would have to submit it myself, so we'll see. I figure, if it helps, it will be worth the money.

yeah - it's not cheap. I live in Los Angeles, so things are pretty expensive here. My initial consultation is $180 and subsequent sessions are $90.
I also do Pilates 2x per week, which is expensive too, so I might have to cut back on that and go to the gym more to afford the acupuncture.

Here's a list of some community places that might be near you:

http://communityacupuncturelosangeles.com/los-angeles-community-acupuncture-clinics/

I only pay what I can afford, they have a sliding scale based on income and frequency of visits. The trade off is you might not get someone who knows everything about fertility acupuncture, just general points and you are also in a room with a bunch of other ppl.
I dont mind it other than I think thats why I keep getting sick.

And the needles dont really hurt, except on a few spots, esp. hands.

That's neat! Oh, for me it was the top part of my ear. Ouch! But other than that, not too bad!

They only did my ear once & I dont remember where it was.
I did get 'cat whiskers' once for sinuses & those hurt, they are right by your nose.
I think the hands hurt as she doesnt use the tube 1/2 the time & just jabs them in.
She gave me needles to use at home for my thumb & it doesnt hurt as much when I do it.
