Okay, I am REALLY excited about something that MOST people will think is dumb. Luckily, you girls are not some of those people so here goes!

So I go in this morning for round one of two IUI's. I know the process so I identify the name and DOB of DH's sample and verify it's correct. Nurse leaves and I strip from the waist down, sit on the table with the big, white cloth thingymajigger and play on my iPhone while I wait for the doc. They always take while so after a few minutes I lay completely back and go ahead and get myself situated in the stirrups.

When the dr normally comes in and I am lying there, they normally say something like "Hey, Michelle! How's it going? Ready to give this another shot?" or something to that effect, KWIM?

The dr finally comes in and offers me his hand and says "Michelle, sit up a minute. Let's talk."

Immediately I am thinking...

O-M-G

THIS HAS NEVER EVER HAPPENED BEFORE AND IS TOTALLY OUT OF PATTERN AND I AM WIGGING THE EFF OUT!

I dunno what I thought was gonna happen but I know I could hardly catch my breath I was so scared. I think my main thought was going to be that they were going to cancel me after all.

Well, GET THIS! He made me sign a form!!! What kind of form you ask? Well, let me tell you!

It's a form that says that I acknowledge that I am at high risk of multiple gestation and that in the case of a multiple gestation pregnancy where my health or the health of the fetus(es) are put at risk

OMG, it sounds like everyhting is just "meant to be" this cycle. Is it wrong that I might be more excited for you to test than I am for myself?

OMG Michelle I read your entire post and believe me by the end I was vibrating with excitement for you, The fact that the doctor felt the need to even have that conversation with you IMO is that he feels that

Oh, you are *SO* in this cycle! I'm so excited for you, and I'll be happy to bring you dinner and help out one day when you need some help settling in with those triplets! ;) (Just make sure to count them before I leave, so you know you're not missing one! ;D)

Thanks, girls! I am very excited! I really think this might be my miracle in the making. If not, I know I can get through it. Over the last few years I have dealt with my share of disapointment and although I will be DEVASTATED, I will cpme out the other end. I just want to get back to the dr tomorrow, get this second IUI done and get the 2WW done and overwith! I wish I could somehow put myself into a 2 week coma!

Ha! If I wasn't worried about putting my "maybe baby" in harms way, I'd hit myself up side the head with a hammer and put myself out of my misery!

BTW - thanks so much for offering to come help me with my 14 kids and lmao about doing a head count! I keep forgetting you're actually close enough where that might actually be possible! One day I think we're gonna try to make it up to a UGA game so we can stop by! Maybe one of us will have peed on something that day and we can obsess in person! LOL
