Hi girls!

I've barely been online since last Friday, so this is my first chance to update everyone on my acupuncture appt. last Friday.

Kelly, mom to 4 year old Lexi, wife to Rob TTC Number 2 since April 2010, with a loss in June 2010 at 4.5 weeks, and a loss in April 2011 at 8 weeks (possibly ectopic). Saw the RE in May 2011, we were moving forward with testing and an IUI when we

Interesting.... I was thinking about doing acupuncture myself. I have Group Health and they pay for part of it because it is a wellness thing. I want to look into that more. I was at a women's expo yesterday and had a short acupuncture free thingie and it didn't hurt. I am intrigued........

How often do you have to go?

The doctor said that the "ideal" is to go 2x per week, but that many/most patients have success with 1x per week. Since I have a long commute and it's pretty expensive and my insurance only covers part of it, I said I was just going to go 1x per week. She thinks that will be good for me. Honestly, trying to schedule time and pay for 2x per week would probably just ADD to my stress!!

OMG Kelly - I've been kind of slacking on the boards this week but am glad I found your post! I am so thrilled that you had a great experience and most of all - you relaxed!!!!! I love going to my gal when I'm having a anxiety or stressful day because I know she'll needle me and it will all go away. I have horrible headaches with the Clomid and she'll needle a few extra points and by the time I leave, the headaches are gone... It's hard to get use to the no cold foods, caffine, alcohol, etc. but you will get use to it. I allow myself to cheat every now and again with the soda and wine, but I actually now can't stand cold water. (I have to drink room temp water) My gal wants me to go on a stricter diet with no carbs, no dairy, no spicy, no tart or no greasy... I'm like just shoot me now, but I figured I needed to jump start my diet so this will help me lost the 15 pounds I want to lose...

Keep my posted on how your doing... I've always said, if not for anything, acupuncture helps me find my happy place again and brings a zen like approach to TTC (not all the time, but I'm pretty even these days with only an occasional flair up around 12DPO). GL!!!!!
