7 DPO Temp spike?

I was a bit surprised to see a temp spike this morning at 7 dpo, I had hoped for an implantation dip. I know not everyone has an ID so I'm hoping I'm one of them! It could be the beginning of a triphastic chart would might be exciting.

Here's where I'm at:

Ugh, I have been charting for 3 months now and went through this last month, go to my chart link in my siggy and look at last months chart (Jun 30). I had a temp spike at 6dpo then it nose dived big time 7dpo, then spiked again, I was so sure that was an implantation dip, I had cramping and KILLER bb pain too, all resulting in a big BFN. I will never try to analyze my chart or those signs for a BFP again, all the classic signs were there for being pg and I wasn't. I'm sorry, not saying yours isn't a pregnancy, just saying it doesn't really mean anything to have those symptoms, the only way to know for sure is getting that + or getting AF....sigh.....

Thanks. :) It's so hard not to obsess about every little thing in the days leading up to testing. You grasp at every little twinge, temp change, symptom to have something to give you hope, sigh. Do you ever wonder that on the cycles you *know* you're going to get that BFP and don't, if conception actually occurred but for whatever reason implantation doesn't?

There are months that I have had every symptom in the book, and I have felt exactly like I have in the past when I've gotten that BFP, and it makes me wonder..

I agree with pp. Although it's hard, it's really better to not obsess over every little possible symptom, because in reality, pg symptoms can also be af symptoms. After 12 years of ttc, I can't tell you the number of times I just KNEW I was pg, but I was always wrong. And honestly, the times I actually have fallen pg, I KNEW I was out, I KNEW af was on the way.

It stinks that we can't get some for sure symptoms, but I've had lots of heartache playing into the "it could be" symptoms.

It's the same with charts, many long time ttc girls will actually stop temping after O is confirmed, reason being, so many charts can show what appears to be an implantation dip, so many charts can appear to be triphasic, only to dip one day and af show. It's so much easier to confirm O and stop temping until the next cycle - one less thing to obsess about, KWIM.

FX that this is your cycle, and if it's not, here's hoping it comes really soon, ttc stinks!!!

It might mean something...it might not. It's a cruel trick nature plays on us sometimes.

I've been charting for over 21 years. I stop temping after 3 dpo...cause it's just not worth the overanalyzing of temps. The only reason I even temped THAT long was just to verify O so I could get on my pregesterone. Do yourself a favor....don't temp too far into the 2 WW. It'll just make you crazy...and I
