After about a year!

So yay! I finally got a BFP yesterday!! I tested on Tues. but a few said no and one said yes, but the digital yesterday at 11 DPO wasn't hard to read! =P

I'm going to try and stay on here (if you guys'll let me!) while posting a few comments in EC (it's really crowded over there!)

A few things about this cycle. I'd been using B-complex for awhile, but I was really consistent this cycle and I started taking calcium supplements (1-2 a day) during AF last cycle. I think the calcium really helped set things straight as it helped my friend and now me!

I didn't really have any PG signs except I felt pulling/cramping around 4 DPO and I was getting really tired at 9 DPO, etc. Now I'm really hungry, exhausted, lots of creamy CM--which I thought I'd get right away but didn't till BFP, and a little MS. 22 m. Lonny has been trying to nurse all the time (instead of 3x a day) but I can tell that he's getting frustrated b/c he won't nurse all that long but will keep asking to nurse. I'm getting antsy if he nurses for awhile (at night he woke up 3x to nurse!) but it actually feels good to relieve some pressure instead of having really full, big boobs! I'm worried that things'll get sore but I'm hoping that either I can get through it or Lonny will wean on his own.

The only sad thing is that this morning Lonny didn't want me at all and wanted to be held by DH. Whenever I'd try to pick him up he'd get upset and ask for daddy. I don't know what's going on but I guess it's just something he has to go through where he thinks DH is soo cool! Also, I've been cramping (like stabbing pains in ovaries) and I was worried but I talked to a couple women who said that's normal w/ subsequent pregnancies and it's fine as long as there's no cramping AND spotting. So I'm on the lookout but hoping everything's normal!!

I know everyone on here will get BFP's (hopefully faster than I did!!) so I'll be on the lookout for them all!!!

I just wanted to say an official Congrats!! It is pretty crowded over at the EC, isn't it? I'm not sure if I'll stick around there long. I hate the drama of new boards! Seriously, though, I wouldn't worry about the pains. I got them a lot in the beginning with DS, and I'm getting them now. My midwife told me before as long as they're on the sides then it's the round ligament pains, which is basically stretching. I hope they go away soon, though!

Good, I'm glad it's nothing too serious and they are starting to settle down, now I'm just bloated! Ugh! I feel like I really need to work out!

I think I'm going to try to tandem for as long as DS is interested. DH doesn't want Lonny nursing after the pregnancy, I guess it weirds him out or something. But I think if he's still nursing by the time the baby is board I don't think DH will care. I think it all depends on if my milk dries up b/c I can see Lonny being the type who gets fed up and just drinks something else then. As long as I can snoodle w/ him when he's drinking I'd be ok!!!

Do you know the book about tandem nursing that everyone suggests? I was thinking of getting it but I couldn't remember the name!

Congrats again Allison - really am so very pleased for you! I have a book called Mothering Your Nursing Toddler that had some helpful stuff about tandeming in it - not sure if that is the one you are thinking of......I kept nursing Declan when preggo with Emmett but my milk did start to dry up at around month 4 or 5 and he was sure to tell me that there was "no milk in there" LOL.....I also found by that point that nursing was mindblowingly irritating - I couldn't stand it and was worried that I would never like BF'ing again - not to scare you but keep in mind that you can work through that irritation by limiting your sessions etc. The ladies on the Extended BF'ing board had some very helpful tips and kept me sane when I was not sure what to think about how I was feeling - apparently it is very common. With us little man was weaned by the time I gave birth but lots of mums stick it out so it can be done!

BIg hugs again,
Jasmine
