‎Hi sorry I keep pressing the wrong button on my phone and posting blank updates oops!

I'm 9 weeks pregnant :) feeling fine, a bit of nausea, a bit of tirednes, quite bloated, had some serious mood swings but feeling ok. Its been quite an emotional week as it was DD2's 1st birthday and went through a few memories from birth, but im feeling positive that this time is going to be different and praying that it is peaceful. Making every effort to enjoy this pregnancy, eating well, got some gorgeous maternity clothes and looking forward to showing off my growing bump over the summer :)

Had my first MW appointment this week. Have to say I was REALLY anxious before hand. I think what also made me feel worse was that that day last year I went into labour and ended up having the most horrific experience at the hospital and soul crushing caesarean section. So a big thanks to DH and doula friend for being with me, made me feel very supported.

MW came to our home and we had a cup of tea and a chat in our dining room. Quickly went through a health questionnaire, I declined all screening at this point, (blood tests, scans, BP, urine) set on going by my 40 week date shown on my ff chart, I requested not to have a copy of my own hand held notes as I don't want to be obsessing over what has been written, being posted some more detailed info on anti-D, MW naturally assumed no OB consultant care, obviously we are planning a home birth and we have planned out next meeting at home again to be at 19 weeks.

Its so refreshing to have a choice and for decisions not to be questioned, challenged or be pressured into a hospitals routine guidelines. Our local hospital is very lucky to have such a MW working for them and I also feel so blessed to see her for my care.

Cheers everyone to a peaceful pregnancy and birth!

Natalie- Glad things are going well and that you've found a MW you feel comfortable with. I had to giggle at the frequency of your meetings because I seriously think my doctors would send a search party out for me if I went from 9-19 weeks without seeing them! ;) I am hopeful that this pregnancy will be everything you need and want it to be. Peaceful wishes your way!! :)

Karen Lynn- Awww what a sweet big brother and hubby for pickin' up all the slack. Sorry to hear you're still feelin' sick and about the previa- hopefully it continues to move out of the way. Aren't 3d/4d pics awesome! We have from both our previous pregnancies and the ones around the 30 week mark... wow... that's exactly what our kids wound up looking like! Same facial expressions and everything! Crazy!

I feel so lucky to have found a MW who is supportive of my decisions. I know if I had just turned up to see a Dr, regular MW I would have been passed straight to an OB consultant and signed up to every test going - my pregnancy notes read: previous high BP, gestational diabetes, 2 pre term births, small/slow growing babies, low amniotic fluid, previous csection and conceived 10 months PP, 3rd baby in under 4 years. Looks awful reading on paper but I feel fit strong and healthy and I'm not worried by any of those things. I'm just being very careful who I see and speak to and how frequently as I'm not having anyone elses doubts break my spirits. There's some things that are useful to know and others I'd rather trust my instincts on.

I'm 10 weeks now, seem to be quite big but maybe its bloating, I can't really feel top of uterus this time as belly seems more squishy and its a bit lumpy over scar. I didn't realise how much reassurance I got, that there is actually a baby in there, from my previous pregnancy scans. No scans this time so just going to have to wait to feel some movement and get a big bump.

Twins has crossed my mind as I think it does most women. Conceived whilst BF and had a random anovulatory cycle before we conceived this cycle. You never know! If I'm really big at 19 weeks when I next see the MW might get a scan. Thinking of buying a doppler to use at home in the mean time.

That's all for now xxx

Hope everyone is continuing to do well!

Our BP continues to be wonky, but hopefully labs will look ok. We're very excited to have passed our hospitals mark of viability and are hoping for many many many more weeks!

Good luck with the blood pressure!!! and HOORAY for hitting a HUGE milestone :)

Things here are chugging along... can hardly believe we've made it this far. I'm also very happy to be at a "viable" stage of pregnancy--- I just failed the 1 hr glucose test last week, so I went today for the 3 hr (what a crappy morning!) I *still* have a placenta previa, so I continue to cross my fingers that it sorts itself out SOON!!!

The positives are that my little baby (Baby Joey) is very active and provides me with constant reassurance that he is happy and healthy. He IMMEDIATELY responds to the sound of my son's voice (Anthony likes to sing Skida marinkidinkidoo I love Baby Joey--- it's classic!) Big brother is very excited... he deserves this and he's the reason we tried so hard, so I'm happy for him! My disability starts right after Memorial Day and we have unused snow days, so it will end up being a week earlier :) WOOHOO!!! So ready to be done with work and look forward to the next six months with my boys...

hugs to all!

Ugh sorry about the 3hr! So far that's the only good thing about my latest BP spike... my one hour is on hold until we get through this bump. GLADLY. I might just eat jelly beans every morning just so I don't have to take it that day. That stuff is soooo gross, though it's nice to feel baby on a sugar high.. though this one likes to kick my cervix, so maybe not!

I love that big bro and lil' bro are already making fast friends! Our lil' one keeps checking on baby through my belly button and then making raspberries. I think they'll make fast friends.

Crossin' crossables tomorrows labs are all awesome!

Well, I still get to postpone my 1hr for another week, so that's cool... otherwise, booo. We officially meet for pre-eclampsia, but we're gonna hold off calling it since my baseline protein was high to begin with. Started meds and modified bed rest (which is anything but restful!). Hopefully we'll still cook for another few months!
