I'm 16 weeks now and my little one stopped nursing 6 days ago Cry She'd had a nursing strike a couple of months ago for a couple of days so I wasn't too worried, but now I'm pretty sure she's decided she doesn't want to nurse anymore as she gives me a definite 'no' whenever I offer it.  I was hoping to make it to two years, but she has decided otherwise.  At least I'm glad she has weaned when she was ready and on her own terms, but I'm still feeling a little bereft (maybe it's the pregnancy hormones!)  She just turned 21 months old.  Does anyone have any experience of their little one having a break then starting to nurse again?  Or should I just accept that she's moved on?

When I was about 15 weeks my LO stopped for a while nursed one more time and then was done at 16 weeks. I know two years can be a big milestone, but I think the more important one is that she was able to stop on her own terms. You've done wonderful for her! Our littlest just made 4 months yesterday! And because we charted I can safely say a day shy of exactly a year since we conceived her! I can't believe how fast it's going. 11lbs 8oz. Nursing is going well. I sadly had to formula feed one day after I had a kidney stone and was given non-boob feeding safe meds. It made me so upset because I asked for boob feeding ok meds but they didn't have them- darn rural health care!! It was clearly more upsetting to me than it was to her. I hope to hear good news updates from everyone! :)
