Paula's Story - TTC# 2

It has taken me a long time to get my act together and write this here! Here goes....

Our DS was conceived while we were on our honeymoon in Europe, and although I was off the pill, the plan was to party hard, and then TTC when we arrived back home in Australia. But somehow I 'stuffed up' my charting, and found out we were pregnant halfway though our trip while in Venice! Were we a little shocked, but so very happy!

DS was born in April 2010, and was a boob man from the very start! He nursed every 1-2 hours round the clock

I try to tell people all the time that our spacing is wonderful! We have 2 1/2 years between #1 and #2 - and 3 1/2 years between #2 and #3....it is not what I had hoped for in all my attempts to plan and control....but that is what we got. I do love that our children have all had their turn at being the baby for a good long time - and although they are more then the 2 under 2 spread that so many long for, our boys are very good friends most of the time and play really well together. Time and patience are hard to learn sometimes, but at the end of the day, this seems like the best remedy when TTC :)

Hi Paula :) Thanks so much for taking the time to share your story - it really is helpful to new members to read your experiences and fun for those of us who have been hanging around this board for years too! I really think it gives great perspective about patience and "the right time" to those who are TTC and of course, lots and lots of HOPE .

Best of luck with your new baby - please keep us updated~

Hugs, Jasmine

Sounds like you used the same medicine as we did... good ol' time and patience! Like you we also feel very comfortable with the spacing of our lil' ones... though at the time I thought it would be nice to have them closer... it's all been right in the end.
