I couldn't believe my eyes when I wiped 4 days ago to see blood!! Finally after almost 19 months since my ds was born I got my period! (And it arrived the day of my sister's wedding!)

So this means I have definitely ovulated right?? My sister came to stay with me for a week and with her around we managed to distract DS enough that he was only feeding 3 times in 24 hours so I think that is what helped get me there.

isn't it crazy how exciting it is to see af!! I think that everyone is different in terms of how regular ovulating will be once your cycles start again and for me I also worry about how much feeding effects the next cycle....when he feeds a few times at night I really try to distract him in the day time....but temping and opks were a real eye opener for me so maybe that would help you. congrats on ppaf!! hope it wasnt too bad it was the day of the wedding! good luck!

I know! I had such a huge smile on my face! And when I told my mum and sister I started crying - from happiness! haha - crazy! And it may sound even crazier, but it kinda made my sister's wedding even more special for me :)

Thanks, I will keep doing what I am doing...plus try temping and OPKs. And distract, distract, distract when it comes to DS!

Congrats! I had my PPAF at 8 weeks then poof it was gone until our LO was 18months. It sounds like by your symptoms that you did probably O and then get AF. I had the same, tons of EWCM around a busy time when LO wasn't nursing as frequently and then wham!

My next few cycles were ovulatory and long.. my second longer and I think that was due to my LO nursing more. I did add B6 after I O'd to try to extend my LP... that might be something to consider.

Best of luck!

Can I ask - when you add B6 can you just buy it from a health food store??

Cheers

Just our regular ole' drug store. You could probably even find it at the grocery- pretty common. I added 100mg same as I had done TTC #2. I feel I got positive results both times.. but with everything... hard to know what causes what and what is just time and coincidence. Gotta do what is right for you. :)

You should try and find a Bcomplex vitamin (either B50 or B100) ....I have read that the B's work better in a complex. I live in Canada and can find it in a regular drugstore. Congrats on getting AF back...I remember how darn exciting it is. I think that we are all different but you could likely expect a slightly longer cycle length to start with and possibly a short LP.....my experience was that I went up to 40 days with my cycles and O date was a little all over the place for the first while. LP was short but got normalized pretty fast with the help of the Bcomplex and some calcium/magnesium supplements. Don't stress too much about how much your little one is nursing....just try and minimize the length of them nursing at night to shorter snacks!
Good luck and keep us posted - I will be interested to hear when your next AF (or BFP :)) comes along and what you experience.
