Am I late or not?!

Hey all,

Not sure where to post this question as we're not exactly TTC but we're not exactly avoiding either....
My son's 9 months old, been BF since he was born, introduced solids at 5.5 months and that's when AF showed up again. Since then my periods have come as follows:

May 10, June 12, July 18 and nothing for August so far.....

Last month I attributed the 6 day lateness to the fact that I was HORRIBLY stressed and we were in the middle of a huge move. She showed up with a vengeance two days after we settled in to our new home. This month I'm not stressed at all...feeling unusually relaxed actually, so I have no idea why she hasn't shown up yet.

A friend of mine gave me a FRER Digital but warned me that it had been sitting in the armrest of her car (we live in Scottsdale AZ) for a couple of days. Weather has been in low hundreds lately BTW....I just POAS and it came up with a BFN, but now I'm wondering if it couldn't just be a bad test/heat.

SO my question is any of you BF'ing moms experience weird cycles like this??

I'm going to wait a couple more days before I test again, unless AF shows her ugly face. And surprisingly.....I'm disappointed in that BFN!!!!

TIA!!

Hi and welcome - and sorry we didn't answer your post sooner!!! It has been busy around here lately ! I would say that since you are still nursing, the chances are that your body is still working on getting back into a regular rhythm - that it was late last month is probably a sign that it is still working things out. It definitely took my body some time to regulate and my cycle lengths were all over the place. If you are interested in getting pregnant again soon, it would be worthwhile to start temping/charting each month to see what your body is done - it takes away a lot of the guesswork, can show you if you are in fact O'ing, clues to if you maybe are pregnant etc..... I would test again in a few days to double check - and hey, you could well be pregnant - It has happened on this board before! Let us know and if you need help learning how to temp etc., let us know :)

Good luck!
Jasmine

p.s. I don't think that the heat would damage a test. If the control line worked fine then it is probably okay. Check out on peeonastick.com - they might have more info.
