Are you starting your Clomid today? I can't remember if you said cd3-7 or 5-9. I've read that 3-7 gives you the best shot at twins....

So, hey, cycle buddy. Let's do this: Let's o on cd 14, implant on 6 dpo, and get our bfp's on 9 dpo (for you) and 14 dpo (for me). OK? I'm picturing beautiful golden eggs getting all ripe and ready for both of us. This is going to be our month. That's just all there is to it, ok?

Sunday,

I love your optimism! I'll agree to that. Now, if we can get God on board this cycle, we'll be all set! ; )

I started Clomid today. It's funny b/c after everything I read about it this last week, I expected my head to explode or something when I took the pill. : ) We shall see.

I think taking is day 3-7 is wise for me. Since the number of good eggs I have is limited, why not develop as many as you can, right?

I think your body still usually just ovulates the most mature egg of the bunch, though. But, hey, I'd take twins. If I"m only going to get one more shot at it.....bring it on!

I'm so glad your LP is going so well. Waiting 15 days was hard this cycle for me, but it's better than the alternative.

Good luck to you.

I think so, too, except, I think it's more likely to throw an extra one out there when there are more mature eggs ready, which gives the increased chance of twins with Clomid, as well as the increased chance of conception. I think also, from what I've read, the Clomid causes your body to increase estrogen production after it's out of your system. The increased estrogen can mature an egg or eggs more than your body might have been doing on it's own, which can also increase your chances. I doubt that prolactin is having much to do with your hormones at this point, but it is

LMAO! Thanks, Sunday.

You know it is funny.....all the info. I can find on Clomid. There just isn't a lot out there about 44 year old nursing moms with six kids.....go figure. I always have been wacky in that department. : P

So.....I'm hoping it will do something, too. We shall see. I"m not counting it as a magic bullet, but I figure it can't hurt for a couple of cycles.

Have a good day,

From what i know about Clomid, it actually decreases estrogen at first.

Cool. Thanks, J.

I just had someone tell me on FF that I should get a trigger shot...b/c at my age, the chance of multiples was pretty much nil. Meaning I wouldn't have to worry about releasing too many follicles.....cause, you know, I'm so old. They probably wouldn't get fertilized anyway. That's the basic thinking anyway. I like Sundays's theory better. ; )

Dee,

Us oldies have a higher chance of having twins, not lower. The older you get, the higher the chance. You gonna have some twins, I just know it ;)
