Hey guys,

I have a doctors appointment tomorrow. Its basically going to be a consultation about my fertility to see if we should do some bloodwork or something.

Hey Daniele - I am not sure if I have much to offer in the way of advice but I would definitely go and at least have a conversation with her and see what she says. I know that my Doctor was incredibly unhelpful when I went to her before the year mark is up so hopefully yours is more open to it all. I also had some weird spotting episodes when my cycles were getting sorted out after finishing BF'ing so you might just have to wait it out a few more cycles. Sorry that is probably not what you wanted to hear but it did only happen a few times. On the + side, your LP is great and you do have a good looking chart so maybe time is just all you need - hard to hear and wait it out, but there you go. Let us know what she says :) Good luck, Jasmine

So the appointment went well today. I talked to the NP who had actually had fertility issues in the past herself. She told me I was welcome to take clomid if I'd like, and I told her I wasn't ready to do that yet. She did give me a 50mg perscription for it though so if or when I decided I can just go fill it....that was surprising. She suggested I could use some prog. cream during my LP but that I shouldn't need anything more extensive then that. She did say that when/if I get pregnant again she want to be right on top of it to check my prog. levels. Hopefully

I would think they would look into the spotting. Did they offer any reasons that it might be happeneing? I can't recall exactly, but it can be a sign of low progesterone, right?

Sounds like they were accomodating at least and that you didn't "waste" your time going into see them. Now at least they know where you are and you have someone to work with if you don't see a BFP in the next few months.

Thanks Amanda,

Yeah I would think they would look into the spotting aswell. In my last blood work I had done before dd (back in 07) my prog level was only .4 on cd21 . . so yeah it sounds like I have low prog deispite having a decent lp. Actually I feel like this most recent LP I had (15 days) was all for not because I started the spotting on 11dpo. . .so if you are spotting what does it matter to have a long lp? I don't know, and I can't find anything about it on the internet. I really feel like the progesterone cream is going to help me this cycle, it might even help with my mood as well.

Get this, I just filled the Rx she gave me today for pms after I told her about how bad my emotional state has been (not just around af time)

yea, they do overprescribe here, I think. However, it is what th general consumer in our country expects, so I understand they are just trying to do their job. You have to look hard for a doc who won't just write you a prescription (ast least in my neck of the woods). You could try vitex and see if that helps, if you are more comfortable going the herbal route.

Hey :) I can't believe how free they were with the meds with you - kind of lucky for some things - kind of strange for others! My family doctor would never have given me clomid or progesterone, my RE was pretty free with the clomid - and eventually the progesterone. I am not sure about the PMS pack ( I have never heard of that!!) - but wow, that one blew my mind.
Anywho, I am glad that you went and are being proactive about your life and fertility - it does feel good to be doing everything possible to help the situation.
I hope you see that BFP soon,
Hugs, Jasmine
