Drs and TTC while BFing?

Hi,

I have been TTC for 5 months now, I have a 25mo DD, who is still nursing on demand.

I saw a doctor in May, and she seemed pretty willing to help me achieve PG while BFing. I haven't been back yet.

My question is:

Have you found that doctors are willing to use medical intervention to help you get PG while BFing, or does it seem like they would rather have you wait for total fertility to return on its own?

Thanks!

Alyssa

I don't know how much your lo is nursing.....but my dd is 26 months old and nurses only to go to sleep and one quick time in the middle of the night......my ob let me try clomid this cycle.

Hi! Thanks for the response!

My DD is 25 mo - and nurses about the same. I have been trying to wean her, but it is terrible. I really wanted to let her self-wean.

Maybe I will ask my doctor about Clomid.

Thanks again!

My OB/Gyn didn't seem to even humor my interest in Clomid. I needed help to conceive my son (used Femara), so I have a history of needing it...but all she would give me was 3 round of Provera (which I never took).

I think I'm going to look for a new doc...just hate having to wait 2 months to get an appointment.
