Hi Mare,

I read your post and I am currently having the same problem. While I am only 14 weeks and I have passed my 1st 3hr GT, I still get high BG readings in the morning and it is freaking me out. I was really stressing out about birth defects with GD this early, but ladies on the preg. and diabetic board made me feel a lot better. How are you handling the high BG readings? How often do you test? I hope you don't mind the questions and thanks for your post - it's comforting to know that I'm not the only having this problem.

Kim, nursing Shirley (17mos), new baby due Sept.

I think this post should go to Lara? I do have some experience with GD, but I don't know that I can help with most of your questions. With my previous pg, I tested 6 times a day. My am sugar was high for the last few wks of pg. If you don't find any answers to help, I'll try again!! Let me know!

Kristin, Kaylin (32 mos), and Eleanor Rose (10 days) who made an early arrival. She's just wonderful and we're all exhausted but happy as can be. :) Here's a pic...

Congratulations and welcome to baby Eleanor! She's a doll, and what a beautiful, traditional name.

Kathy here 17+ weeks pg with #2, feeling much better these days!

This week the headaches have been fewer than usual and not as intense! I am so happy about that. We went to the OB yesterday and all is well. Well, my iron is a touch low, but no biggie. And I have only gained 2 lbs so far (which I think is just fine) but the doctor said I could stand to gain some more. I eat like a pig if I can find what sounds good. With DS, I did plenty of gaining from this time on.

The heartbeat was about 150 and I get to have an u/s at 20 weeks, but we won't find out the sex.

I have been lurking more b/c it was so nice here and now it's DH's spring break. But I still do read the board frequently!

Kathy, due with #2 9-10 and Josiah (23 mo)

Janet-18 weeks with baby #2. Finally gained my first lb. Have been able to cut back on the Reglan. Feeling a lot of movement now which is great. Can't believe I'm almost halfway through this pregnancy.
