I am going to make this quick because I am very tired but I gave birth (got my VBAC!!) on Sunday April 6 at 12:44 p.m. Patrick popped out after approx. 12 hours of labor and 40 minutes of pushing. He is totally wonderful and we are in love. His cleft only affects his palate slightly which was an extra blessing. I am pumping but we are trying to nurse too and having some success!! Yay!!

Lara (Charlie--22 months, Patrick--3 days)

Oh my gosh, Lara!!! Happy news all the way around!!!!!! Congrats!!!!

I am SO THRILLED that you are having some success in nursing!!! Wow!!!! If the cleft isn't that bad, will you still be going with Dr Cutting's plan? I know that nursing wouldn't be possible with the molds. I hope everything works out!!! :)

I'm glad to hear he has a name! LOL ;)

BIG CONGRATS to you Lara. I'm so glad you got your VBAC and that he is able to nurse some. I ep'd for 4 mos w/ds, so I understand how draining (no pun intended, lol) that can be. GL, get your rest and again CONGRATULATIONS on your sweet new son.

Lara!

Congrats! I'm so happy for you! Welcome Patrick! I hope Charlie's doing well (BTW, there are a couple of books I've been reading to Edward that I HOPE will help: _I'm a Big Brother_ by Joanne Cole and _What Baby Needs_ by William(?) Sears.

Whatta relief that all went well! I'm still waiting for some kind of sign from my baby that she's ready to come out. Sigh. I'm hoping for a VBAC, but starting to think that if labor doesn't start on it's own, I'm out of luck.

HOOOOORAY for you and your growing family! No Esther Kennedy uterine scars for you!! LOL

love,

is. (& Ed 01/10/01 & El EDD 04/16/03)
