Little white lie-UPDATE

Hi all! First thanks to the girls that responded to my post. It made me feel better about lieing. I don't know if that's good or bad lol..
Anyway, got tests results back from the doc. He said "unfortunately everything is normal". I was like what?????So the good thing is I didn't get busted lieing but the bad is he doesn't know why I don't have AF back yet. My fsh is 5.1 & prolactin is 6.8. From what I've read these are good right? So I started take the prometrium & we'll see what happens. I'm very nervous about taking it just cuz I'm still nursing (now only once a day but still) & I don't like taking meds. I wish it would happen naturally but oh well! I gotta do what I gotta do :).

Wish me luck! Thanks!

Almost every drug/vitamin/etc will come with the warning "do not take while pregnant or breastfeeding" or "consult a physician...". They are just trying to cover their butts.

I have epilepsy and I spent months researching the drug was taking, what I could be taking and what possible effects there could be. Of course every study has some kind of side effects because even in a sample of perfect women there will be babies with disorders. In Canada we don't have to worry about drug companies 'buying' doctors, but I wanted to be diligent. I switched drugs to one that had the least amount of side effects and waited 6 months to see its effect on me before we started trying.

I am sure like every Mommy you have googled it to death and are confident it will be ok.

Good-luck to you. I look forward to reading how it is working for you.

Hey Angie :) I am glad your results came back normal - I was thinking they might as I had the bloodwork done when I was still nursing and my prolactin etc. came back normal too. Your FSH number is great too so all around good news.
As for the prometrium, maybe check on Dr. Hale's website or ask the Breastfeeding board mamas to look it up in his book - he is apparently the current final word on what is safe and not for nursing. You are nursing so little now, I am guessing it is not a problem but do what you feel comfortable with for sure.
HTH :)Jasmine
