First, I just want to say, I'm so glad I found this board! Reading everyone's stories makes me realize that there are plenty of other folks in the same boat. Our similar hopes and frustrations make me feel connected to all of y'all. And I really appreciate all the helpful information that has been shared.
I'm 36, and DH and I have been TTC for about 10 months now. DD is 21 months and only nurses at night during the week and on demand during the weekend. She was so easy to conceive that I just knew #2 would be a snap. Nope. The closest we've gotten is one BFP last December, then m/c at 5 weeks. I don't want to force DD to wean for a baby that may never be, but I don't want to wait too long and miss the chance to have another. I think for now we will just step up the TTC game with a CBEFM, temping and more BDing. And (non-Catholics, don't snicker) I am starting a rosary novena for a healthy baby tonight. Anybody who wants to should feel free to join me. Also, any advice about using a FM or how to get knocked up faster would be greatly appreciated.
Baby dust to you all!

Hi and welcome!

I think your plan is a good one. If you start keeping track, you can get a better idea of what's going on. It's unlikely that at 21 months, your LO is affecting your fertility all that much. But without charting, it's hard to say. Once you start charting, you can see if you're Oing for sure and if you luetal phase is long enough. Fertility Friend has free charting and good tutorials if you've never done it before.

Good luck!

Thanks, y'all!

I first used Fertility Friend to chart when we were TTC DD. It has been a fantastic resource.

I'm glad to hear my fertility is probably not affected much by her nursing. I've only been charting CM and CP until recently, due to both forgetfulness and laziness, but my chart has been all wiggedy-wack...12 to 60 day cycles, 35 full days of AF, multiple patches of EWCM...surely temping will give me a better picture of what's going on. And hopefully that something going on is a healthy pregnancy. ~Jana

Jana, have you shared your cycles with your doctor?

Oh, yes. After 2 weeks of bleeding, I saw my doctor and was given Provera. It didn't stop it, so I then had an ultrasound, bloodwork and a uterine biopsy. All tests were normal and the bleeding stopped the day after the biopsy. My cycle used to be 28 days like clockwork, but since DD's birth it has been completely unpredictable. And I have had hot flashes and migraines, which I never had before. I don't know whether to blame BFing or perimenopause or just bad luck. At any rate, my last 2 charts look more normal and that gives me hope, as do reading y'all's stories and encouragement and seeing the long roster of grads. : )
I'm on my 2WW now and hoping, hoping...for ALL of us.
