Nursing 2 year old, TTC, can I get PG?

Hi, I am new to this board. I guess this is where I should post since I am nursing and you guys are all in the same boat. I have a 2 year old son, he just turned two on 9/11. I would love to wean him, but he is hanging in there, mostly for comfort from momma. We just decided to try for #6 to complete our family. I have never nursed a child this long, and am wondering how soon I can get PG? I had my first AF on 9/15. I also had my IUD removed a week before. I have always gotten PG pretty fast before, but didn't even cycle for 2 years. I don't know if it was from the Mirena hormones in the IUD, or if it was because I was nursing. I had a lot of cramping with the Mirena, and my moods went crazy. I was pretty happy to get it removed. Does anyone have any answers or guesses? I haven't started charting yet, I think I will start next month. Thanks for your help!

I would say to start charting right away. I also had my first PPAF on 9/16, and we will be trying this month for #2. I bought OPKs to pinpoint the ovulation day and I am charting to see my temp spike to confirm ovulation. I would recommend this if you have extra money to spend on some cheap OPKs online. They can go for $1 a piece and they work well. Last baby we got pregnant the first time!

Good luck!
