So, shortly after (ok, on the way home from) the drs appt last week, I bought a pack of digital OPKs figuring that I *may* start the cycle bloodwork this month and wanted definite answers as to the OPK.

Anyway, I bought the 7 pack... started a few days ago... negative negative negative...

You know, I toally agree. I love the little smiley and no guessing but I like more warning too. I like to watch for the fade in (when there is one) of the line......I took a digi apart and saw the two line strip...and was excited until I read they meant nothing at all. Why are they there, then?!

But this cycle, I'm doing an hcg inject to O, based on my positive opk, so I want to be SURE and not guess at lines. So....I'm doing both.

I'll use the cheap opks early and often....then when I get a good line, I'll back it up with a digi.

Last month I used Answer from the store and they sucked. I bought some digis b/c I felt like I was Oing for sure....sure enough the digi was positive. But the internet opk's have never failed me.

Good luck!

Hi Karen Lynn,

I used the smiley face ones for several months ttcing DD. I was sure I wasn't ovulating anymore, and had started menopause, because I never got a positive. Never a smiley face at all. Including the month I got a bfp with DD. I think that they test for a higher level of lh, which is good, in that you won't have days of positives and not know which day is your highest surge day. But, now that I've used the IC's and realize that my norm is a half-day surge with an IC, I think I would have had to test every couple of hours with the digis. I agree with Dee's strategy- using the IC's to get an idea, and the digi for proof. And I hope you don't need to buy any more of anything, dear. Put that bun in the oven ;)
