So worried :(

I fell down the stairs last night - only 3 of them and carpeted ones at that - landed on my lower back/tail bone :( Am freaking out that I hurt our baby/babies and don't get my U/S until next Friday. Called the clinic and had a chat with the nurse on call - she said basically I should try not to worry and that doing an U/S this early might give cause for more needless worry as it is still so early. I have read all the stuff on the internet that says there is so much padding in there etc. but wow, I feel sick about this.

Help calm me down please!

You'd really have to work hard to hurt anything this early!!

Relax! I know it is hard too, but the stress you're causing yourself will impact them more then then slipping down 3 stairs...

Your little one is tucked in the safest place ever. With two complicated pregnancies under my belt I understand your fears and am thankful you already called your doctor's office for reassurance- that would have been my recommendation. When in doubt, get it checked out. :)

I will keep you in my thoughts and hope that Friday comes as quickly as possible.

Best,

Jasmine,

I don't have anything to add other than that the babies are more safe and protected now than they will ever be again. I slammed my belly into the

Thank you Thank you Thank you everyone for your sweet replies and reassurance!!!!! I have managed to calm down - spoke with the nurse at my RE clinic this a.m. and then also to my midwife who I adore .....she made me feel so much better and after reading your answers and speaking with her, I immediately got a grip and carried on with my day - just made sure I took it easy today - bought myself a new book, my mum watched the boys for a few hours, went and got myself a yummy lunch, and had a few girlfriends drop by. I even got to hold my friend's 5 weeks old little guy - nothing like that to inspire me and get even more excited!

On the downside, my fall is catching up with my already somewhat sketchy back.....took some tylenol tonight but am definitely feeling the after shocks of it - hope I can stand up tomorrow a.m. :)

I love you all very much - really I do!

Hugs and goodnight :)

Jasmine with it being this early in the game I wouldnt really worry too much. That doesnt sound far. I use to do all kinds of stuff when I was pregnant that everyone kept telling me not to do lol. REBEL i am! I was using a matic when I was pregnant for DS1 lol and well into the pregnancy. Have fell down a few times in our driveway as well. Its got some ruts in it, big ones. It did hurt my butt but I was ok. try not to worry. I know easier said than done but try!
