Still Waiting...
Fri, 07-29-2011 - 2:59pm

I guess night weaning wasn't the magic ticket to a PP AF. DD has been night weaned for over a month and is now down to nursing only twice a day--about 20 mins in the morning and 10 in the evening. I even went on vacation last week and purposefully left the tampons at home thinking that if I was unprepared things were bound to happen. Nothing. GRRR!!! I'm sooo ready to do this thing already and get #2 on board! My midwife said that if I weaned completely in the next couple of weeks and didn't see anything by October they'd try and give me something to "jump start" things. I know this isn't necessarily abnormal but I'm REALLY getting impatient. Ugh. Just a rant I guess... :)

12 months is totally normal. I bet by 18 things will be on track.

Hello! I agree with Amanda - frustrating but true - I am sure it is only a matter of time before she comes back - and then you can get rid of her again :) Have you tried vitex to maybe push it along?
Hang in there - and try not to stress - Miss LIlly is still so young and I am sure you are enjoying every second!

I was similarly frustrated when we made big changes to our BF schedule with little results. We're now 17.5 months in and still twiddling our fingers for things to get rolling again.

Waiting can be difficult, we fill our days focusing on being present for the day that we're so lucky to have! :)

Best of luck!
