Why isn't there a test.......

So I schedule my first ever mammogram for today.....days before my usual O date. This cycle, this 44 year old body decided to O on CD12. Twelve?!!! So I didn't even think about until I show up for my appointment..........I told her there's a chance I could be 2 days pregnant......she said they could do a test. Uh, yeah. I said, "If you've got a test that will tell me if I'm 2 days pregnant, I'll take it!" LOL!

If they can put a man on the moon, why can't they tell you if you're pregnant right after fertilization?!

So......I cancelled and wasted 2 hours of my time for zip. Sigh.....

Oh poo. I need to schedule one of those. Waiting for DD to cut back on her nursing, as mostly they don't want to do mammograms on lactating breasts. Lol at "we could do a test" I do know someone at work who found out at 6 dpo via blood test, because we were all exposed to something, and she needed to know if she could take the medicine for it (or an alternative).

But, yeah, it's all a matter of priorities. We've come a long way, though. At least we don't have to wait 6 weeks or so until we start throwing up....I think they've only started making better tests because there's profit to be made on them.

I just want to be one of those women who goes, gosh, I didn't realize I was pregnant until I was 4 months along....Just ditch all this stress and all the initial worrying.

I just had one about 3 months ago and for all the whining I have heard women do about how terrible it is--it was nothing.
