Blocked tubes
17
Thu, 11-18-2010 - 3:39pm

I just had what was supposed to be a routine HSG on CD6 of my one and only injectable cycle. The RE couldn't get any dye to go in my tubes at ALL. He said it doesn't make any sense. My youngest child is only 2 and was pregnant this Feb--that was an early loss. What the ***** could have changed between Feb. and now?

I did not have a D & C in Feb...it was such an early loss, af wasn't even late. And if it were a result of my miscarriage, then both tubes wouldn't be blocked, just one.

I am devastated. I am smack in the middle of the only injectable cycle I'll ever get to do. I have no idea whether any fix for this can be done before I ovulate next week. I have a ultrasound sked. for tomorrow and we're supposed to talk about what to do.

Oh wow, I hope you get some answers when you meet with your RE. If your tubes are blocked that would explain why you've had trouble TTC this time and could open up new avenues for treatment. If they are blocked and can be opened, you might not need injectables or any other meds to get pregnant.

What the hell??!! Pardon my french, but, seriously???? After all the hoops you've jumped through, I truly hope you haven't hit a road block! I agree that considering your youngest is only 2 and you were pg this year, it doesn't make much sense!! It makes me wonder about the accuracy of the test. If it is true, I can see where your DH is coming from, but as others have said, once fixed, you probably won't need meds etc. since u do O on your own, KWIM? Just think of the cost of in vitro; I'm sure it wouldn't be as expensive as something that invasive......

Please keep us posted on your u/s today!!!! I'll be checking on you dear!

O.K.....deep breath. Here's where I stand. Went to the RE today for my scan. I had 19, 18, 17, and two 12's on my left. Also two 12's on my right. Lining is 6.5 already. RE said I have the ovaries of a 20 year old and I can trigger Sunday.......
