Have you come to the right board! These girls definitely know what they're talking about and can give you some advice on bfing friendly vitamins, etc. you can take to increase fertility. It sounds like your body is just getting started again and even if you stop bfing all together that doesn't necessarily mean you'll get back on track right away. Don't give up! You can breastfeed and have normal fertility it'll just take some time. I'm just now getting regular fertility (although my LP is still a little low) and I've had AF since July.--I haven't been trying for very long though. Have you been temping and charting? That'll probably help increase your chances. As for the time in b/w children. My friend wanted desperately to have another baby 4 months after her last one. She got pregnant finally when her DS was 19 months (a VERY long time for her). Her DS is soo completely sweet with his brother and it's so cute to see them together. Another plus, he was potty-trained and in his own bed (not crib) when the new baby came. So there are plus and minus's to every spacing. GL though, and keep bfing! Every time I see my sweet DS gently stroke and pat my hand while bfing I just feel so content and close to him. I don't think I can give that up for a long time.

Rant away and welcome!! I think so many of us could have written your post and know exactly how you feel!!!!! I can tell you first off my success story from a few years back - was nursing my little guy for 16 months before AF came back (with a little push) - well past when I thought I would still be BF'ing but loved it so much more then I ever anticipated and was totally not willing to give it up to forward to when he was 21 months old and got a BFP while still night nursing and day nursing many times in a 24 hour period........he and his little brother are 2 1/2 years apart and it is a lovely age gap. #1 loves his baby brother most of the time, is very helpful with him, they are starting to play together, hold hands in the car, and when #2 sees his big brother he goes wild - smiles and toddles over to hug him. It melts my heart to see them together -so don't worry about the age gap - there is a lot to be said about letting your little one be the baby for a bit longer and skipping the whole 2 under 2 thing!

That said, I know you want to get things on track - SO - check out our TTC Facts folder in Mommy Talk section, get yourself some cheap OPK's off the internet, get yourself a Basal thermometer and start temping/charting, get yourself on a Bcomplex vitamin and join us for the journey. You are already ahead of the game if you are now seeing Af back - your first few cycles might be a bit longer then you like, but the b vitamin might help tighten them up (vitex would probably help that too) ........if you can night wean a little bit too, that would likely help your situation.

Any questions, please ask and don't get frustrated just yet - I am sure you will see that BFP very soon.

(SOrry my post is so scattered but baby is about to wake up and I have to run!!!)
