Should I call the Dr?

I am not wanting to waste my time or money getting a blood test or u/s to see what is going on, but I am getting to the point of extreme frustrating and not sure if I should call the doctor or just keep waiting it out??? I took another test yesterday and a BFN!! My temps are still up, dropped a little for a day and then went back up - not as high as they had been but still high and no sign of AF!!! Could the bfing be keeping my body in limbo and preventing my temps from dropping to bring on AF???? While bfing earlier I did not have AF for 5 months and my temps remained low as they would before AF and never rose - I am so confused. I no longer really feel pregnant - I have some symptoms, but have convinced myself that it is all in my head since I keep getting BFN, but my high temps are not in my head!!! What would you all do? Should I wait a few more day or call the doctor?? HELP!!

Thank you all!

I would call the doctor and just get things checked out....it can't hurt and it will possibly get you out of this annoying limbo ....you must be going crazy ! I am sorry it is so frustrating right now. I doubt that BF'ing would be keeping your temps up - at least that has never been the case for me and I have been doing this for awhile now.

It has never been the case for me either (that bfing would keep my temps up) which is one of the reasons I am so confused. I read an interesting thread on another message board this morning and thought others might find it interesting:

How frustrating!! I'd suggest going to the doc so that you can rule out pg once and for all. I know it's $ but it's not worth the aggravation. Stress can affect AF so if you get it checked out maybe that'll help alleviate some of it. Hopefully though, it's just a pg that doesn't register on the tests!! When I first read your post (before reading the other board you posted) I kind of thought that it was a mc since you felt pg and now you don't and I thought you'd get AF soon b/c your body was just working it out. So I'd just go to the doc and get that tested (but I'm really hoping that didn't happen!)

Also, when reading that other board the doc took a thyroid test of the other girl so I'm wondering with you...I forgot how old your LO is. I know I had some thyroid problems and that was really affecting my fertility (and my health over-all). Seems to me like you could have hyperthyroidism if you have these high temps sleeping. Have you looked into that at all to see if you have any symptoms. It's common during bf after pg up until a year or so afterwards (mine is just resolving that was a couple months ago so it definitely went beyond a year-I had hypothyroidism). But the high temps make sense. I'd google it to get a checklist cause that really helped me but here's a small one that might give you a few answers. http://www.compleatmother.com/postpartum_thyroid.htm

I'm really hoping that you're pg but I know I had no idea that thyroid problems were issues that could affect fertility but it's really serious!
GL and I'm sending baby vibes your way!!
