How do you ladies do it? I am nursing DS anywhere from 4-8 times during the day (he sleeps through the night almost all the time). My problem with temp charting is I don't have a regular wake up pattern. DD (who's 2 1/2) comes to get me whenever she wakes up, sometimes 5am, sometimes 2am. So do I just do the best I can at getting the temp when I first wake up or is it vital that I've been asleep for at least 3 hours? I know you ladies all have LO's too so how do you do it?

Hi there :) I too am sorry we missed your post....

I rarely get 3 hours in a row either and really it doesn't matter much from my experience....I get a little obsessed about it all when i know I am about to O and after and temp everytime I wake up in the night just to see what it will say. Once you have temped for awhile you really can see a pattern and can usually know what your regular temp vs. Post O temps look like...the numbers will shift a little bit but for me, it is consistent enough to see the thermal shift. I do try and record the temp that I take closest to 7am if I can.......I would recommend you just start temping when you wake in the night after your longest stretch of sleep that you can recall, and see what happens to your chart.

GOOD LUCK :) and I hope you stick around despite my poor response time on this one! Won't it be strange one day to sleep an 8 hour sleep again? I don't think I could do it now anyways - I wake up even if the boys don't!
