Sam is napping, DH & Will are out getting mulch, so I'm grabbing a few minutes to stop in & say hi. Will try to put together my birth story soon, but don't have time right now. I need some sleep! Let's just say for now that it's a good thing I was planning on an unmedicated birth, because I couldn't have had an epidural if I had wanted one!

Sam and I are doing great. He's nursing like a champ, although he does have a little trouble latching on correctly. But considering he's not even 48 hrs old, I think he's doing pretty well. I'm a little sore, but the bleeding has already slowed down quite a bit. We took Sam to the ped's this morning (protocol b/c of being GBS+) & they said he looks great. We have a home visit from a nurse on Sun.

It wasn't love at first sight for Will, but he's getting used to the idea. So far he's doing pretty well.

I better go or else I'll miss my napping opportunity. Will try to post again soon!

Rachel, I missed congratulating you (the new board is still taking me longer...), so I will say it now...Congratulations! I'm excited to hear the birth story, but I'm glad to know Will is doing well. Enjoy him, and get some sleep ;)

So good to hear from you! I've missed you the past week, but got my FIX reading your pregnancy diary...how will I spend my days now? Did you take a 40 week belly shot? I'd love to see it!

Can't wait to hear the details of the REST of your labor and delivery and how you feel about the whole thing...way to go on the unmedicated birth--I hope it was a beautiful experience and just what you wanted (the week of early labor notwithstanding.)

Enjoy your little one!

Maybe Will will be like Harrison...when McKenna was crying and I said I needed to nurse her Harrison said "NO I nurse darling..." Wouldn't that let you make up for some lost sleep!

That's great, Rachel. I hope things continue to go well, and that Will soon becomes enamored of Sam.

Actually, I had seen your post when you asked about the belly shot. I wasn't going to do one, but after you asked I figured I might as well... and I was going to do it Wed. night! LOL! Needless to say, I didn't get a chance. I can do a post-partum shot for ya ;o)

That'll do...you can add it to the gallery and call is 40 weeks 4 days or whatever...funny!

HUGS to you during your recovery...mine was SO MUCH quicker and easier this time than with Harrison two years ago. I wish the same for you!
