Well girls, it has been quite a day!
I went to my regular OB appointment and went through the regular stuff and checks. I was about ready to cry when my doc could not find a heartbeat. He sent me down to the Fetal Assessment Unit immediately. Luckily, DH was with me at my appointment so we blasted to the hospital with all speed.
You will recall that I was to go to the FAU tomorrow for my screening US. I landed in the same place a day early.
First things first - a heartbeat was clear, strong and regular. Deep sigh of relief and gratitude!
Then they decided to do the full scan as I was already there. The Sonographer showed us everything, explained everything and detailed everything. NT is 2.5 mm (bad score = > 6 mm). Nasal bone = 5.9 mm (bad score < 3mm). All organs seen and functioning. All measurements perfect for age. Again, a huge relief!!!
AND (drumroll please................) it's a BOY!
Needless to say DH is pretty stoked about that, being the dad already to 2 girls.
The US was excellent. My risk score has been reduced to 1:300. Still not the best... but I can think about that tomorrow. For today - I am one happy, grateful and relieved woman!
Thank you for your comments and P&PT and the power hummm that I know you all hold for me!
