Hey Torielle, we haven't heard from you in a while. How are you doing? Do you look really pg yet? and have you had to tell people, or are you still pretending to have a leg injury thus avoiding marathon training?

Hope all is well and looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello Krista and Teri and the rest of you!

I've been posting more on the pregnant over 40 board but generally spending less time on-line because DD has entered a phase of opposition which I am hoping we can get under control before #2 arrives...

I'm in my 14th week and going for the next scan on Thursday. I'm scared stiff of the amnio, but trying to avoid thinking of it all the same. My tummy protrudes horribly but I still havent told people at work (although they MUST be talking amongst themselves) because my boss went on extended sickleave the week I was supposed to tell him! I keep hoping he'll pop in, but am now giving up on that. I am going to write him a letter and hopefully from next week I can take off my big jackets and stop holding my tummy in everytime I walk along the corridor.

I've told my family over the phone and we've invited my in-laws thei Friday to tell them. So it's gradually coming out. but my preference would have been to keep my secret from the world until after the amnio...

I still go jogging and walk alot. I'm pretty breathless at times and in fact nothing is quite as easy as it was last time. However, I'm not complaining because i know how lucky I am to get this far.

I lurk alot here and will continue to do so, always in the hope that I will see some good news...

Baby dust to you all

Hey Torielle!!

So glad to hear from you and that everything is going well with your pregnancy. (I won't consider "tummy protruding" as a problem ;). That's amazing you've been able to keep it at least somewhat hidden this long!

When is your amnio? Will you find out the gender? Does Anna know/understand yet and is that related to her attitude?

Best wishes,
T.Ann

My amnio is on 7 April. I will ask for a quick result (FISH). I will ask the gender! Anna knew I was pregnant before I did (she started playing with my breasts before I took the HPT!) and appears to be happy about it. She says she wants a sister, not a brother! However, I dont think it has affected her attitude because she doesnt yet understand the implications of no longer being an only child. I think she is just trying to push the limits and we have to be firm on where those limits are ...

Hey Torielle,

I've been lurking & wondering about you too. It's good to know all is going well with pregnancy. Yep! I don't think you'll be able to hide your bump much longer. Enjoy your pregnancy and let us know when you find out the baby's gender. Your daughter is so precious, i just noticed the updated photo of her on a recent post above.

All the best!

I've been away and have been trying to catch up - did i understand from another post that IVF didnt work out or are you still waiting? I really hope for the latter and to recieve some good news from you!

I'm waiting for my amnio in one week, so not feeling too comfortable with things at the moment, but trying not to think about it too much.

Hi Torielle. No, it didn't work. Thanks so much for thinking about me. I am shocked that it didn't work, really. But we are going back to IUI because now our insurance covers everything (wish I knew this when I first TTC, it sure would have taken the pressure off). But that is good news.

Eli is 3 today, and my Beta was today, but a few days ago I decided that AF WAS really AF despite what the IVF people tried to tell me -- so I stopped my drugs and refused to go for blood today because I need to focus on DSs birthday party. My DH did everything for the party (bless him), and I am actually less depressed today than I thought I would be. Still have the odd crying jag, but I am starting to move on. I start IUI #7 around late April and I will KYP.

Was driving yesterday and remembered that your amnio

Torielle,

Good luck with your results! I see you have a new photo of Anna up. How is it that she just keeps getting cuter and cuter? My goodness--you have a little heartbreaker on your hands!

Krista, I didn't realize you'd done IVF...I'm so sorry it didn't work out and wish you much success in April!

Firstly - Happy birthday Eli! I hope he and you all had a wonderful day...

I'm so sorry IVF didnt work. I'm not sure what the difference between IVF and IUI are, but wouldnt it have been worth trying IVF again, after all, it was looking so promising?...it's great that your insurance covers everything like this. It's a huge worry off your mind and allows you to concentrate on thephysical and emotional aspects involved. I really feel for what you must be going through and so wish it will work next time.

My amnio is next Monday. I wake up during the night in a cold sweat, imaginging a bad result. I cant wait until it is over. I hope to have a quick result by Wednesday or Thursday next week. Thanks for thinking of me. Apart from that I feel fine. A little puffed walking uphill at times, a bit constipated and already fed up with the protruding tummy and difficulties dressing, although I have 5 more months of this, all being well!

All the very, very best of luck for the next round of ttc and for keeping your spirits up

Thank you Lois. The test is actually next Monday and I am terrified of a negaitve result. I so wish it was over...

Thanks for the compliments to Anna. She is incredibly lovely, a real joy. Even DH, who would really prefer a boy next time, agrees that the same thing again would be just wonderful. Of course, even if it's a girl, it wont be the same...

When is your baby arriving? You must be very excited getting ready. Have you sown your basil crop yet? we've just seen off the last frost here,
