Libby is off to the OB this week!

Ladies:

On Wednesday I am going to my regular monthly OB appointment, where I am hoping and praying he will be able to pick-up a fetal heartbeat on his doppler machine thingy. That has been on my mind... the what ifs... so it will be great to have the heartbeat heard again and be able to know that things are continuing apace in there.

This process seems to be one that either engenders a lot of faith or a lot of fears of having no control. I have been maintaining mostly a positive outlook, and I have been doing really well with remembering the vitamins, Prometrium and aspirin, although I think this is my last week for the last two. There are doubts that sometimes come in... but I try to push them away.

Hearing the heartbeat on Wednesday will totally tide me over until my screening U/S on May 29th. Between the two I've got the alpha fetoprotein blood test next week, which looks for indicators of birth defects. Fingers crossed and P&PT that that just won't be an issue.
