So, we're now "elderly"

I went to have my NT screening test today and we were talking to the genetic counselor afterward. He informed me that we are no longer considered "Advanced Maternal Age" but are now referred to as "Elderly Primip's" which he seemed to refer to me as, very liberally during our conversation. BTW WTF is a primip?!?!
I dunno, being called elderly at 40 bothers me a bit-I think a man must have thought of that term! My DH (who is 16 years my junior)
I think I would have kicked him in the nuts!
Well, I'm glad to hear everything is looking good!!!!

lesa_gurl,
I just busted out laughing with this one. What the heck! Elderly? Like that's supposed to make us feel any better than AMA...
Lesa I think he sounds like an a-hole just looking to get under your skin. I have never heard of the word elderly associated with anyone under the age of 65.
My file says AMA and I don't think my doctors are behind the times in terminology.
I didn't answer this post for the longest time because I found it scandalous lol.
Hey Mnmcbm,
I just completed A&P course. It was a prerequisite for my EKG class..My brain is so fried but I got an "A". I begin EKG class this saturday. I feel like I speak a new language now LOL!
Good luck to you!
