Hi Stella,

Hope you see this...just wondering after you had Evan(hope I remebered correct) how soon after did you start to try for Lucy?

Did you know before you had Evan that you wanted another, or was it after you had Evan that you thought you would like another one.

I never thought I would want more than one and now I am wondering...maybe??

Thanks Stella,

Lori

Hey Lori. I always said I would have just one -- until the day Eli was born -- I knew then that I wanted to try again. Weird huh? Maybe the fact that my labour was only 3 hours had something to do with it. I think I said "god that was fast, let's do it again". I hope it won't take you as long as it is taking me to get PG with number 2.....

do send us an updated photo of Max when you get a chance.

Lori:

I can only speak from my own experience, but after the birth of my now 8 yr old... about the first thing I said was, "I'd do it again!" My labour was OK, and the pushing not too long, and the aftermath... well, it wasn't pretty, but it was fine.

Alas, my marriage broke up very shortly after this (cheating b@stard!) and one of my biggest concerns/fears was that my girl would grow up without a sibling or siblings.

Well, I met a fantastic new man a few years later, and totally traded up. I was thrilled to have his child and simultaneously give my DD a sister. She had been asking for a sister, and she was delighted to get one. Now we're on to #2 together, and #3 in total. My DH very much considers our girls to be OUR girls.

I had two siblings, both brothers, and for me - 3 kids just feels right.

So, if you are asking for an opinion - go for it! Your son will embrace a sibling and have a friend for life!

I was on the same boat as you are in now, after day one my DS was born I started thinking about a second one, my DH wasn't exactly exited about it, for him we were done, but as the time went by DH stated talking about our DS growing up alone and off course I immediately jumped on it, and i can just tell you if there is one thing that I have enjoyed this second pregnancy is to see my DS (who is only 26 months) attached to my big belly and giving kisses to the baby sister inside, we still co-sleep and he sleeps with both hands on my belly, so there is some sort of sadness that this pregnancy is almost over, because this is the last one and won't have to enjoy one more time the sweetness of these moments.

good luck,

--Teresa

Hi Lori,

I am sorry, I can't remember if I ever congratulated you yet on baby Max (life's been busy...haven't been posting as much as I want to).

Hi Carolina,

It was so nice to hear from you...thank you for the kind wishes. I know I always think about those old posts too and wonder about Julie too and wish I could talk to her and find out what she has been up to.
