Ladies:

I dropped into my OB's office and asked for the blood and US testing reports from the 1st trimester and the maternal serum results from 19 w. There are several things to note:

1. The 1st trimester US could not be more encouraging or positive. No markers seen, all anatomy expected at that time noted. Everything looking/measuring perfectly fine.

2. The blood report from the 1st screen is 5 pages long. My doctor was only sent pages 4 & 5. So we are going to be discussing that and also why exactly he hasn't asked for the missing pages!

3. The 19w maternal serum test does give me the individual results. They aren't great... but they are what they are. I test well below the cut off where they recommend amnio, but they do blend the score with the results of the 2nd tri US - which hasn't happened yet.

So, I have the next maxed out US at the Fetal Assessment unit on Thursday. This scan and also the opportunity to speak in detail with the doctor there should go a long way in assuaging my fears or at least clarifying what my real chances are of a downs baby.

I meet with my own OB tomorrow, so hopefully he'll be able to get the rest of that report. If he can't by Thursday, I'll be asking the hospital to provide it to me directly.

I'm accepting power hummmms and P&PT for perfect US measurements on Thursday.

Thanks gals... sometimes it is just best to know that you sisters are rooting for you!

PPTs and a big power hum for Thursday, Libby. Will they tell you everything on Thursday? or will you have to wait for those results too? Will be holding my breath (and humming) until you update us.
