A word or two before I go in

Ladies:

Thanks all for your well wishes. It has been a crazy few days of me trying to get things together for next Wednesday... Tuesday actually, what with the amnio.

I have been making lists... which keep getting progressively longer. I've been to the store to buy a bunch of trial sized lotions, shampoos, toothpaste, etc. I got new XL pyjamas. They have a draw string, so they can be pulled in a bit if I am a bit smaller than XL in the hospital. I got 6 pairs of socks. Socks are important in the hospital and during the delivery process. I got a few hair clips and a hair band... last thing I need is my long hair getting in the way and aggravating me. Lip balm is always appreciated. I also burned myself a little baby making CD, just in case I do get to have a vaginal delivery.

I've got a bag sort of ready for the baby too. My Mom took charge of getting the little Newborn clothing washed and ready. We've got NB diapers, tiny hats... I am working on this now.

Work... well, that is a bit of an issue and I am doing what I can. What I don't get done is going to have to wait. My Assistant can be in touch after a few days and I can do a bit here and there with my laptop and PDA.

My goodness - this is becoming very, very real to me!

So, to all of you, I just wanted to say how much it has meant to me to have your ear and kindness throughout this pregnancy. I know I should have moved on to another Board, but this is my home and HQ and I am so grateful that you let me stay.

I am going to be going flat out between now and Tuesday, but I will be stopping in to see how you are all doing when I can. I may be unable to post while in the hospital (Wednesday morning - Saturday) as my Tréo is not that good with posting on this site (too many fields and technical difficulties). BUT I can read messages, and I will.

I will certainly post a pic and a story as soon as humanly possible!!

Please keep me and my bean in your P&PT!

You gals are the best!

((((Libby)))) I can't believe it's time! We will all anxiously await your news and photos of course. We will do a power hum for you on Wednesday and I will say a prayer for the safety of you and your baby.

You certainly don't need to thank us "for letting you stay" on this board. You are an integral part of the family here and it wouldn't be the same without you. I too feel at home here and don't want to move on:-) God bless you and your family!

Thanks for the update, Libby. I am so excited for you and wishing you a great delivery (whichever way it happens) and a happy, healthy baby boy! Can't wait to see the pics.

Also, thank you so much for all the wisdom and support you've given me and everyone else on this board. You were the CL when I arrived here and made me feel comfortable and in good hands from Day One.

I'd love to hear what's on your CD. I always thought "This is the First Day of My Life" by Bright Eyes would be a great song for a baby to be born to.

Good Luck, Libby! You and DS (and DH) will be fine. Hoping that you have a vaginal delivery, easy birth and quick recovery.

This is awesome. I can't believe you are at this point already. How time flies.

Looking forward to the pics and finding out his name :-)

Libby, I share all the gratitude and good wishes of the previous posters -- you were CL when I joined in January after a traumatic m/c and were soooo helpful to me, so it's especially gratifying for me to see you in such a happy state at the end of the year. (And I'm so glad you stayed on this board -- as a "graduate", I likewise have had no desire to switch to the "pregnant after 40" board because this is where the people are that I care about!)

We'll all be waiting eagerly for the culmination of this TTC story!

Hugs,
T. Ann
