Am I the only one!?!?!?!

I cant be the only 40+ trying to conceive. Come one ladies!!!! Dont be shy speak, lets go through this together!!! Oh, and btw...

I'm 8 days off clomid, and waiting a week. I have suspicions. Starting Thursday and then Friday I had cramping, Saturday I felt like there was a grapefruit in my uterus and yesterday my uterus felt bruised. Now its too late for that to be ovulation, unless I ovelated late but I dont think so because a week ago Sunday I had ewcm. Oh and this morning I had a dream that I was in a hospital and there were several plastic baby beds, and in every bed there were multiples, not a singleton in sight. Is it want, desire, hope or am I pregnant? Time will tell. Good luck to you.

A had no side effects with clomid either.

Hi Jan,

I'm Hot! But I guess thats to be expected. I am cd 26 and plan to test in a few days. I've had some heaviness to my uterus, increased urination that wakes me at night a few times, enlarged breasts, increased appitite and fatigue. The last few days I cry for no damn reason. The moodiness can sometimes be pms, but not the tears. If not pregnant I go back to the RE on the 28th. I did the pendulum over my left hand and it says 3rd and 4th g/b. I've never known this to be wrong but knowing my luck this will be the one that breaks that pattern.

My son is 18 and graduated frm HS friday, and my daughter is 14. The pendulum was right about my daughter and also 6 friends who were pregnant at the same time. I hate to get my hopes up, but they are.

Have you done clomid before? Do you have other chidren? Love to know more cuz I am just that nosey ;)

Hi Melody :-)

ooh cd 26, the torturous days. Things sound very promising for you. How long are your cycles normally?

tell me more about the pendulum, I like things like that but have never tried it myself. Along similar lines, I saw a pshychic who predicted that I'll see a new doc and he'll put me on medication (I did, he did ) she said the mood swings would be very bad (they sure were) but it'd be worth it cos the 3rd cycle will work SO this is my 3rd cycle and I am trying to not put too much weight into her prediction but of course I can't; help it. this cycle will be a very tense one towards the end! She said I'll have a baby girl (another psychic told me that a few years ago).

so about me - I am 40, have one 2 and half yr old son super cute, I adore him. I got pg with him first month I tried!!! I never thought I'd be on fertility meds n'all that yukky stuff. I am seeing an acupunturist tomorrow who specializes in fertility issues so I am very excited. I saw a regular acupuncturist last week (cos I am impatient and the fertility one had no openings ) and she said it is simply taking me a while to recover form having ds and BF'ing him for so long, and having insomnia - my body just has to build itself back up again. I feel she is right. my body wont take on a big endeavor like a pg until it's ready I think.

Catherine, hi there !!! you look different in a different context lol. this board is very quiet isn't it? I love ivillage tho I used to come here many years ago when I had lots of quiet time at work. the new site is harder to navigate but maybe I just need to get used to it.

best of luck to you guys!

I'm turning 40 in exactly 2 weeks, does that count?! :-)

We were thinking of waiting until Oct to TTC #3, but we did the BD on
cd11 this past month and I O'd on cd14, and 2 days later I knew I was
pregnant. Surprise! Unfortunately a week later all my prego signs
started to fade away, and today AF started. I'm still feeling sad
about it...

We have a son who turns 5 next month, and another son who is 15 months
old. I m/c'd twice between the two boys. I made an appointment with
a genetic counselor today since I've now had 3 miscarriages. I'm
wondering what kind of tests (if any) they might run on us. Anyone
have any ideas?

We're planning to start actively TTC this cycle. Only 10 more days to
go until I start the waiting game again! We're going with a 3 day
cutoff to try to sway our odds for a girl.

Best wishes and baby dust to you all!

More then likely your Dr. will tell you that age is a factor in your miscarriages, but dont let that stop you. I would suggest talking to your doctor about seeing a reproductive endocrologist (I think I got that right). Your body may be going through some hormonal changes therefore needing a little support to carry through and I'm not sure that is something a genetic counseor will get into. Good Luck, atleast you know you CAN get pregnant, thats one step closer then many.
