I am 11 dpo - did 2nd month of clomid/gonal f/hCG and two days of IUI - I am currently nauseous, sore boobs, dizzy... I'm supposed to go to the RE for a blood test on 2/01 if I miss AF on Sunday. My progesterone was 39 at 7 dpo, last month it was only 20- I'm tempted to take a HPT but I'm afraid the hCG is still lingering, even though my RE's nurse told me it goes away after 10 days. This 2ww is killing me! Anyone else experiencing the same?

I have not been here for a few weeks, so just saw your post....it's a little late to help you, but now I'm curious. I have never experienced those symptoms, and have had 3 IUI's. How did it go? Are you pregnant? I hope you got good news!

Dorothy,
I wasn't pregnant - I got AF the day I was supposed to go in for my 1st Beta - I knew I wasn't pregnant though because I had take two HPT with BFNs :)

I think my symptoms occurred just because my progesterone was so high. I found out that on clomid cycles your progesterone tends to be higher - thus the symptoms. This month I was only on gonal-f injectibles, no clomid, and so far at 7dpiui I am experiencing the slightest sore bbs. I have to wait until 2/26 and then test if no AF. I'm not too optimistic as my progesterone was only 12.2 yesterday - but time will tell - I'm not giving up hope!

Good luck this cycle!
Thanks for replying.

Michele,
I am so sorry your last cycle didn't work out, but will keep my fingers crossed for you this cycle. I am wondering - I have never had my progesterone monitored, what does that tell you? I read and read about the function of each hormone, and then if it's not directly monitored on me, or given to me, I forget what it does.

I was on injectibles last cycle, and never got sore bbs, hopefully that is a good sign for you!! Definitely do not give up hope, I am not giving up hope either, I think it will just take longer, but is not impossible! Thanks for the wishes for my cycle, I am actually taking a rest cycle this month.

Good luck!

Dorothy,
The higher your progesterone the better your uterine lining is for implantation. When you are pregnant you produce more progesterone so that implantation can occur. However, like I said in a previous post, Clomid also increases your progesterone.

I think it is a good idea to take a rest - I think if things don't work out this month that is what we will do as well - depending on what my RE says of course.

Thanks for the well wishes - keep me posted and I will do the same.
Michele
