Anyone with this problem?

I am on Clomid 50MG 3-7 and this was my first cycle from my OBGYN. The only thing they are doing is a progesterone test at CD21 which was friday and don't get the results until Monday.

Question 1.
I never had a strong second line on OPK's. One day it would be a faint line, the next no line, the next darker. The darkest was CD17 so maybe I O'd around CD18? Did anyone have this problem?

Question 2.
I never got EWCM, can you get PG even if you don't get that? Is there anything that can help me get that?

Thanks in advance for your answers!
Have a great weekend!

I never had much luck with those opk test till I started testing about 3 in the afternoon. It seemed I could get a better reading. AS for the cm on clomid mine tended to dry up. What helps is to try robutussin cough medicine. Make sure it is the regular kind and not any of the ones with added product. This is suppose to help with the production of cm. I found that it did help me. I know some women who used robutussin even without being on any meds.

I think taking clomid and just having a progesterone test does not tell anything. I can't stand that some doctors do this. There is a lot that goes on when on fert. drugs and proper monitoring needs to be done. Having u/s gives you and the doctor an idea of how many follicles you are producing if any, if they are maturing enough around ovulation and if ovulation is occuring at the right time in your cycle. Another thing I know alot of women who have developed cyst on clomid and if this happens the clomid needs to be discontinued until the cyst go away so that damage to the ovary does not occur. Another thought is watching how many follicles develop. One one cycle of clomid I had 5 mature follicles and had to make the decision to go ahead because of the risk of multiple pg's. I don't want to sound harsh but I just wanted to make you aware of what is being missed when not doing u/s monitoring with clomid use. I'm sure your've heard me preach all this before.

Take care and hope you get your big positive very soon

Cathie,

I am hoping hubby's insurance helps pay for this so I can go to an RE next month. Right now everything is out of pocket and hubby was just off work 10 months which is why we had to put off getting PG for a while.

I am praying so hard I get to go to an RE, I would love to know more, how many follies, did they mature etc. I am too old for mistakes or not getting proper help. My dr doesn't even offer it even though he is supposed to be a fertility specialist and a high risk OBGYN. That just doesn't make sense to me. IF we didn't get PG this cycle hopfully next cycle can be with an RE. :-)

If this isn't your month than I hope next month you can go somewhere to get your questions answered and find out what is going on. Seems to me if your ob was a specialist than he would know that the basics should be done. Oh well, we'll all say a pray that you get to someone quick that can help you and do the proper monitoring.

Take care and sending lots of
