I'm very sorry about your m/c -- many of us here have gone through that (myself included) and it just totally sucks. Unfortunately the risk of m/c does go up the older we get, but don't panic -- there have been lots of lots of post-40 babies born to women on this board.
I don't know what puregon is, I've used follsitim or gonal-f and menopur. I get pg about 50% or more of the time when we use ICSI or donor sperm IUI with stims but have yet to deliver a living child. 6-7 pg losses since we started trying, including one imminently...
Yes the rate of loss is higher at our age (60%) but I've had unusually bad luck. I have had 0 pgs since we started trying without the shots, but then it doesn't look like my Dh's sperm can fertilize eggs without help.

I have used menapur/bravelle when doing IVF.
