LaRae, I always kept my hips elevated for 20-30 minutes after, just like what they had us do at our IUIs.

I used to lay hips up until my RE told me the little guys separate from the seman and are on their journey within about 5 minutes so now I still lounge around a bit before getting up but I don't sweat it anymore.

Hi LaRae!

Well, years ago when I was TTC, I tried the whole hips on a pillow/laying down for 30 minute thing, and

Both times I've been pregnant, I have elevated my hips for 20-30 minutes afterward. But it hasn't worked since Oct '08, so it may not have been an important factor.

However - I still do it every time!

I think a tilted uterus is common.

Along the same lines... Frequency...

I see you gals talking about bd-ing a couple times a day before you O. I thought you were supposed to wait like 24-48 hours between bd's...?

Again, tomorrow I see my RE for the first time, so she may say differently, but all the fertility sites I've been to suggest that it takes that long for hubby to build up the swimmers.

Have I been reading wrong?

Both of my RE's (previous and current) say to bd every day during the peak fertile times. Check out Susan's article on Femara that she posted below, there is a section where that RE addresses the frequency of intercourse.

I've only ever gotten pg on the cycles where we bd'd every day...

Thanks Jeanne,

I just read the whole article and am going to take it with me to my RE appt tomorrow. It's actually a lot of exciting information and great to hear that there are other options.

I guess you really have to know what is reliable information on the internet these days...

Thanks again!

Here is a link to some information on conceiving with a tilted uterus:

I've also see some confirmations on the boards of success with laying on your stomach afterwards if you have a tilted uterus.
