Considering starting antidepressants. Thoughts??

Hi guys,
Some of you know my story and some don't so here is where I am at:
I'm 42, we've been TTC for over a year. I suffered a horrific cervical ectopic PG that resulted in a 2-month long M/C and I was on bedrest and out of work (I literally bled for to months straight.) I was so ill, anemic, weak, and when I FINALLY got the ok to go back to work at the beginning of April, I was there 2 weeks and laid off from the place I worked the last 5 years. And 2 days later I had my 42nd birthday. I'm definitely NOT where I thought I would be in my life at 42. Jobless, childless, directionless...feeling like a failure at life.

Damn, girl, you two would put some horny teenagers to shame!!! Hahah yeah go girl!!
Thanks LaRae! It's amazing how the blows of life knocked me down right to the ground. But I've never been one to stay there, and I"m determined to get back to my old self. I'm about to go for my"15 minute rule" in the park now LOL. What I really need is a little bit of your newlywed energy. The last 3 or 4 months have been tough because I was so sick. My DH and I could use a couple of late night drunken rolls in the hay to get back to the way things were!
Yay Dianne!! I am so glad to read this wonderfully uplifting post from you!!! Every day will be better than the last, you will be back to your old self before you know it, it just takes time but who has any time or patience when we hear our clock ticking SO LOUD!? Ugh!!
Looks like we are just about on the same cycle! My Day 1 should be in around June 2. :)
As far as my protocol, I'm not sure exactly (this is my first IVF). I just know that they are going hardcore stimming due to my age. Yikes! No Lupron and I'm going with my natural cycle. Can you tell what my protocol is by my list of meds? They are Gonol F, Menopur, Cetrocide, Dexamethazone, Folgard, HCG...
So funny about the excercise mind game! I HAVE ONE TOO! It's called the "15-minute rule". If after 15 minutes, I just don't feel well, I can totally go home. That is usually how I can
Good job for working out! It is such a natural mood lifter -- truly is. I remember one time a good friend of mine, who is now a triathlet but was once 140 lbs overweight, told me...I have yet to ever regret exercising. I've only regretted when I DIDN'T do it. So true, right? And I play a little mind game with myself. I tell myself that if I'll get up and get my shoes on, get to the gym (or outside -- whichever) and get going, I can come home after five minutes if I'm really miserable. Well, I have yet to go home! LOL!

Yay Brandy!! I met with the RE's nurse today and she ordered my meds!! We will be on the same cycle!! :)
I am exctied now. I think as I physically get stronger each week, the depression lessens. I hope it lasts. I have been working out all week and feeling stable. Fingers crossed!!
When in June do you think you will begin?

Hey you guys,
I just want to thank you so much. I have read all your resoinses a couple of times, and I have been thinking about all of this. I met with my RE this morning, and together we decided that I will not take any antidepressents at this time, but will work out regularly, and do acupuncture. Both have proven results with mood enhancement. I also know that I am not as bad off as I was the last time I took meds about 4 years ago. Even since I posted this thread, I feel better. I am still struggling, no doubt, but as my physical health gets better my mood improves.
Dianne, I'm so sorry for the late reply. I hate that you are feeling sad and you have every right to feel that way. I am torn about the meds. Will your RE still start your IVF cycle if you are on the meds? I understand the need for them. I have taken them a few times in the past but never TTC.
