Ladies, I'm soooo frustrated. We've all been healthy for the last several weeks, but now (of course) just as O time is approaching, DH has to get sick! And DD is not sick so he didn't get it from her. So WTF?! We think he might have food poisoning but not sure, he has an upset stomach and fever. And he ate fast food yesterday a few hours before it started. :\ I'm sorry but I'm a little pissed at him right now. My plan was to DTD every other day up to O time. I'm on CD12 so I do stil have a few days left until O time, but damn, I don't know how long he's going to be sick?! WHY couldn't he have gotten sick a week ago?? I know there isn't anything he can do about it, but it's just so frustrating. How the hell are we ever supposed to make a baby if we can't ever DTD at the right times? Couldn't he have just stayed healthy for a week or two here?
I hope I don't come off sounding mean. I'm just frustrated. Thanks for letting me vent.

Oh Melissa, it sucks doesn't it?! I can totally sympathise. The same happened to me last month!! I had a lovely positive OPK and to be fair to hubby he TRIED but we got nowhere for 3 days!! Oh the frustration. He says "we'll try again next month" but I feel my fertility slipping away..... and if we don't get on with it I'll be 41 when/if I ever get pregnant, instead of 40..... remember this time last year thinking I'd be 40 instead of 39...at this rate it won;t happen at all.........
And when we were trying to conceive our DS, he went and slipped a disc in his back, had an op and was out of action for quite some time..... could hardly pounce on him then.
let's hope you DH gets better fast so that there's still time for a spot of baby dancing before the big O. You'd better give him lots of pampering and TLC!
Let us know hoe you get on.

Oh No! That is not fair! I do feel bad for him ( worse for you though!) and hope he gets better soon. Maybe it won't last more than 24 hours and you can "nurse" him back to good health. I can't wait to see what will be wrong with my hubby this month. I'm just hoping I don't O before the Olympics end, as he faithfully watches every night.
Sending "good health" vibes from now until O! Hang in there...

I, too, know that frustration very well!!
TTC is NOT for the weak! All you can do, is get 'whatever' in, around O time & you never know?! Last time, I got pg., I thought we were WAY off.....then BOOM!!
Good luck, my girl!

Melissa,
Ugh...sorry for the poorly timed illnesses (not that there's ever a good time to get sick). Sometimes it feels like men, or at least mine, don't quite understand the significance of their role. We're always monitoring OUR bodies and worried about OUR health. I feel like saying to them, "Hey, you know that you're contributing 50% of the DNA here, and right now, I need you to get yourself together and get me some good, strong, healthy swimmers. Maybe you could mix in a multivitamin or a fresh vegetable every now and again." Anyway...LOL

What are we going to do with these men?! I'm glad you finally got him to DTD. Hopefully he will want to participate more during the next week. FX you don't catch the "bug" that he is passing around. Now if I could just corner mine and get some action over here!
