Dang straight, waiting to Ovulate :)

I wanted to start a thread for those of us in the first half of our cycles, and waiting to O. Are you waiting to O?

I am supposed to O in about a week, and I'm really trying to take some very proactive steps to give my follicular phase every fighting chance to hatch a good egg.

What do you guys do during this time (besides BD of course!!!)

I am going to do YOGA to keep relaxed and calm

Eat more fertility foods---avocados, pumpkin seeds, asparagus, black raspberry leaf tea, etc, etc

I am going to try with all my heart and soul to try to be happy and joyful and hopeful and positive now more than ever. I have been struggling with increasing anxiety and depression as the TTC journey grows longer, but I think that it is soooo very important for me to try to focus on my joy and worth as I am now, today, with all that I have (and not focus on what's missing.)

So here is our waiting to O room. Pull up a chair. Let me pour you some raspberry leaf tea. :)

Well, MAF raised it's head this evening.

Last cycle, he was out of town for the primary fertile days, and it would appear I didn't ovulate anyway as is typical for my non-medicated PCOS self.

This cycle I had warned him in advance when we would start trying for this cycle, which was supposed to be tonight. I am on a day 5-9 Clomid protocol and am supposed to start OPKing and BDing today and through the surge.

But when I mentioned it when I got home, he said "no!" so fast I was a little shocked. To his credit, he actually said, "No! Tomorrow." and tomorrow will probably be fine as I'm really not supposed to ovulate until sometime between Thursday and Monday. But still, this is only the first cycle and I don't really know what is "typical" for me while on Clomid, so it's a tad frustrating. I'll be very annoyed if I get a positive OPK tomorrow with no swimmers already deposited and waiting.

He wouldn't say why really. I know his neck is hurting (he has an old herniated disc injury), and he had had a long day, but if it was more than that he wouldn't say, and I didn't have the energy to push it.

Wish me luck tomorrow!-Bridget

i hear you ladies. I got the shut-out last night too...and I have not even O'd yet--I jsut wanted to have fun and be close to him. But it was late and he was tired. Sigh...

I'm supposed to O over the weekend or Monday and I feel like it is fruitless to even try if DH has messed up sperm shape that can't penetrate and egg. What's the point. I'm in a crap mood today. :(

It's only 8%...that means the other 92% are fine right?

I wish the stats were that good Pix, no his Kruger morphology is 4%, and 8% is considered normal. Anything below that means most of his sperm have an abnormal shape. And from my research, it appears the DNA of the sperm can be abnormal too resulting in miscarriage or non-sticking issues.

Still the "only takes one" mantra works.
