Dang straight, waiting to Ovulate :)

I wanted to start a thread for those of us in the first half of our cycles, and waiting to O. Are you waiting to O?

I am supposed to O in about a week, and I'm really trying to take some very proactive steps to give my follicular phase every fighting chance to hatch a good egg.

What do you guys do during this time (besides BD of course!!!)

I am going to do YOGA to keep relaxed and calm

Eat more fertility foods---avocados, pumpkin seeds, asparagus, black raspberry leaf tea, etc, etc

I am going to try with all my heart and soul to try to be happy and joyful and hopeful and positive now more than ever. I have been struggling with increasing anxiety and depression as the TTC journey grows longer, but I think that it is soooo very important for me to try to focus on my joy and worth as I am now, today, with all that I have (and not focus on what's missing.)

So here is our waiting to O room. Pull up a chair. Let me pour you some raspberry leaf tea. :)

I love reading the posts here- especially about the old crusty eggs! i am 43 (almost 44) and refuse to think my eggs are crusty!! LOL!! I am on cycle day 6 and will O next week. It is so nice to have this board for support and information.

GL Jodi!!!

Called my doc, since my opks have gotten slightly darker (though not anywhere near positive) she wants to wait one more day. At some point aren't the eggs just too old?

We have dtd every night for a week now. Im tired of boinking. ;)

edited to add: I do have one opk from the past day that has a thin dark line on it. Could that have been my surge? I've always had solid super dark lines. hmmmm.

OMG Susan, I cannot wait for the kids to get back to school (my daughter starts kindy this fall) so I can have some routine and do something for myself. This was NOT a summer about me, that's for sure, lol. I can't wait to be able to go to the gym regularly.

We leave for San Diego for 5 days on Thursday though. (it's about 2 1/2 hr drive from me) Lordy I hope I have surged by then. Ugh.

I agree! I am reading everything and love the comadarie (sp?) these girls have, I just enjoy "listening" to the conversation and am learning so much! I am on CD11 and using OPK's, just finished my first round of Clomid and hoping it will work, waiting for the big O, maybe this weekend?....
