Fertility Monitor - Peak?

Is anyone out there using the Clear Blue Fertility Monitor? I am taking a break from IUI's this month, and began using the monitor again after 3 months of not using it.

Usually I "Peak" on day 19/20 or 20/21, but I am still on High Level now on day 22. I didn't start using the test sticks right away as I know I ovulate later and didn't want to waste the sticks (but I wouldn't think this would alter the test as it is all based on hormone levels... right?). This is the longest I have ever gone without Peaking.

Anyone else ever have this problem? Do you think these monitors really work?

Thanks for any input.

Best,

Linda

Hi Linda,

I was using the Clear Plan Monitor 3 years ago. I used it for maybe 6 months & peaked only once. I am not sure if it was because I was not ovulating regualrly or if I was using it wrong. I rarely had more than 3 hours sleep a night due to work and got up @ 3 a.m. to go to work so I don't know if this had anything to do with it.

I wish I could be of more help. From what I hear the monitors are very good. I was 38 @ the time & from what I understand the older you get, you don't always "O" every month. When I went to a fertility clinic my FSH was 6 (still low for my age) so my not peaking could have been due to not sleeping or using it wrong.

Thanks, Lisa.

Yes, it actually has been somewhat of a stressful week, so I'm not surprised if I didn't Peak; although this is the first time in the 9 months I've used it that I've shown no peak period (now on day 23). I also read that if you do not do all the tests required, that this can throw off the readings; I started testing late (in order to save test sticks!), so I may have jeopardized the reading.

Oh well.... my poor dh keeps asking every morning "did you Peak yet??" - I think I'm wearing him out a bit anticipating the peak arrival.... at least we're having some fun trying! :)

Thanks for the tips. Next month I won't cut corners on the testing.

Hope you are well.
