Hi Ladies. I know most of you have been trying very hard to become pregnant. I have 4 children that I conceived very easily (also 2 losses) and have never worried about fertility. Just wondering all the terms used. FSH and E2 levels? When are you tested for these? I always assume I am fertile as my periods are very regular(28 days) and my ovulation symptoms very regular as well. Thanks for any info. Julie 42
Hi Julie,
fsh and E2 test are to test the quality/quantity of eggs. As you age the numbers diminish until finally reaching menopause. However, there are several factors that effect the quality of the egg, lowering the chance of becoming pregnant, while still menstrating. I would talk to your OB about doing the tests (clomid challenge) just so you know where you are and steps you can take to have a successful pregnancy.
